Zen Name Poem

My Zen name is "Enkan," 

which means, "Lead Pipe." 

I figured out 

why I'm named that. 

My Zen teacher says I'm 

useless, poisonous, stubborn, and destructive.

My dad says 

hopefully one day, 

I'll become a Copper Pipe. 

My uncle says about "Copper Pipe," 

"one day... when you're better." 

My girlfriend says my constant quoting and storytelling 

is extremely painful. 

My therapist says my appointments,

always make her laugh. 

My psychiatrist died of a heart attack at 50.

My friend Bob was even sadder than all of this,

Until he started going by Rob.

That changed everything.
