A Buddha doesn't think "I am a Buddha," therefore they are a Buddha. If someone thinks, "I am a Buddha", they are thinking that in order to think they are not, so they are also a Buddha.
However, I think that I am one in order to not be one.
The path and fruit of arahant are identical except inasmuch as path is the shift to the very first moment of arahant
The fruit involves a shift from a moment of arahant to another moment of arahant, but it's equally arahantish. The path involves leaving behind unarahantishness, but the path is still arahanted. The fruit on the other hand doesn't need any leaving behind of its previous moment, which was also arahanty.
