In the Monty Hall problem, he doesn't truly open a door the first time. He just takes whatever's in that door and puts it in the other door first.

At the moment, the odds that I am a fully enlightened saint are about 50/50... because either I am, or I am not.

I have no way of really conjecturing about that. Then again, the odds that I am a fully egomaniacal maniac are also 50/50. It's either true or false.
